Scottish Christmas Walk Parade

Holiday Boat Parade Of Lights:
Saturday, December 1, 2012
4:00 to 6:00 p.m. – Festivities on the docks at the Alexandria Waterfront (music and entertainment). Santa arrives by boat @ 4:15pm! Alexandria’s harbor lights up when dozens of illuminated boats cruise the Potomac River at the historic waterfront. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. at the Alexandria City Marina behind the Torpedo Factory Art Center, with free photos with Santa for kids and canines, plus free hot cocoa and cider.
U.S Botanic Gardens Holiday Exhibit
The U.S. Botanic Garden presents a unique holiday exhibit featuring
model trains and incredible replicas of Washington, DC’s most famous buildings
and monuments. The exhibit runs from November 22, 2012 through January 1, 2013.
Adults and children will be fascinated by this special Christmas-time treat in
the nation’s capital.

The Conservatory will be open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in December for the holiday season. During these evenings there will be musical performances from 6 – 8 p.m. (except December 25)

Zoo Lights
November 23-December 9, Friday, Saturday and Sunday only
Open nightly December 14–January 1 (except Dec. 24, 25 and 31) Hours: 5-9 p.m.at the National Zoo in ashington, DC is a winter holiday event that is sure to be fun for the whole family. The National Zoo presents a display of thousands of sparkling lights featuring sculptures of many of the Zoo’s most popular animals, including giant pandas, Asian elephants, gibbons, a sea lion, an octopus, and a Komodo dragon. Visitors at ZooLights will enjoy
winter-themed crafts, ice sculpting demonstrations, choral groups, and storytellers. Visitors can warm up inside the animal houses
National Hanukkah Menorah Lighting Ceremony
Festivities at the lighting ceremony include
musical performances and hot latkes and donuts. This year’s celebration will
feature the US Air Force Band. The menorah will be lit each night of Hanukkah. Location:
