Selfies have taken over the world (thanks Kim K!). Although 2014 was officially the year of the selfie, with the best selfie in history been taken at the Oscars, they are sticking around for 2015 too.
There seems to be selfie lovers everywhere these days, especially around the hotspots of DC. But taking the perfect selfie isn’t as easy as it looks.
Maybe you find it hard to get the perfect angle? Or does your hand shake and make the image come out blurry? Whatever your main selfie problem, their ever increasing popularity means there is no limit to the great (and sometimes down right crazy) inventions manufacturers are coming up with to make sure you take a good selfie.

The selfie hat is real! It’s pink, is designed by Christian Cowan-Sanlus and the technology behind the hat was developed by Acer. The beauty of this piece is you can take pictures from any angle when you are wearing the hat. It supports the Acer Iconia A-1 840 tablet, and not only can you take a good selfie, you can also still do every single thing you can do with a normal tablet.
2. The Selfie Brush
A brush that doubles up as an iPhone case. What girl doesn’t need one of these? All you have to do to click a good selfie is place your iPhone on the back of the brush. It’s available in 3 different colors too – pink, black and purple – so you will be spoilt for choice.
3. Sony Perfume Camera
Sony have hopped on the selfie bandwagon with a new camera designed especially for selfie lovers. It’s shaped like an oversized perfume bottle and features a lens you can rotate 180-degrees. The camera has many top of the range features, but the best one for you selfie lovers is that you can share the photos you take on this camera with your smartphone using the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi.
4. Glam Screen
Designed by the Queen of the Selfie’s best friend Jonathan Cheban (Kardashian lovers will know exactly who I am talking about), the Glam Screen is a glorified screen protector that reflects objects like a mirror. Because it works like a mirror, it helps you make sure you look good before you take your selfie. This could save you a lot of time, because it might mean you no longer have to take 30 selfies to get the perfect one.
5. Selfie Remote Control
With the selfie remote control, you don’t have to touch your iPhone’s screen to take a picture anymore. All you have to do is click the button on the remote and it will take the selfie for you. Okay so this was actually an April fools joke this year, but it’s totally believable right? A “Selfie Shoe” with an open square toe, that houses a dock you can slip your iPhone into.
