The US Program of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) is seeking an undergraduate intern for our Washington, DC office. The part-time intern will learn and take part in the US Program’s work on a variety of issues, including in the fields of criminal justice, immigration policy, and victims’ rights. The internship will primarily focus on research and advocacy assistance including following current events and media coverage, monitoring federal and state legislation and policies related to human rights in the US, completing internet-based research projects, drafting documents, and working on other projects as they arise. The intern will also have the opportunity to attend relevant congressional hearings, briefings, conferences, and other events related to human rights in the US.
