About Adam Kress:

Adam Kress has lived and worked in Washington for more than nine years with an extensive knowledge of the Washington job market. He understand the inter-workings of various political, non-governmental and federal hiring processes. Along with his knowledge, Kress’s professional contacts make him an excellent resource for students.
Kress served as Assistant Director of SUNY Albany’s Semester in Washington program from 2008-2016. He also served as a visiting professor acting as Director of SUNY Brockport Washington Internship Program for the semesters of summer and fall in 2014.
In March 2016, Adam Kress earned a certificate in museum studies from Northwestern University. He holds a master’s in gender and legislative politics from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy (2009) and a master’s of public administration in government, politics, and policy studies from Cornell University in 2007. Kress has a dual bachelor degree from Elmira College in political science and public affairs with a minor in American studies (2005). Adam Kress has been active in professional politics, serving first as an intern and then later as a direct marketing consultant for United States Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.).
