Friends Committee on National Legislation. A Quaker Advocacy organization in Washington, DC. FCNL works on a number of different peace and social justice issues rooted in Quaker testimonies of peace, justice and truth. For decades FCNL has taken 6 to 8 yearlong “Young Fellows”, typically recent graduates, who all work on different policy areas or in grassroots organizing. We’ve expanded our young adult programming to include a summer internship for college students and recent graduates and two annual lobby weekend conferences in DC. The McCain Institute Spring Internship Program. Spring intern applications are being accepted in our Washington, DC office in the following areas. Communications & Events, Decision Science, Development & Next Generation Leaders, Humanitarian Action, National Security. As part of the internship program, Institute staff will mentor and introduce you to international policymakers in Washington, DC. Additionally, you will take part in weekly activities in the DC area, including foreign policy debates and the opportunity to use our state-of-the-art Decision Theater for simulations, modeling, war games, and independent projects. National Endowment for Democracy. The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is a Congressionally funded, private, nonprofit grant making organization that works to support freedom around the world.
