This is an announcement (READ HERE) from the State Department containing program details for the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Policy Classroom student program on Wednesday, October 3, from 2:00 – 3:00p.m. We are pleased to announce that the topic will be “U.S. Counterterrorism Efforts.” The speaker will be Marc Norman, Director for Africa, Europe and the Americas, Bureau of Counterterrorism. Please feel free to extend this invitation to students or interns affiliated with your organization. Also, please keep in mind that this program is intended for academic audiences only.
If any students/interns are interested to register to attend this program, they will need to email foreignpolicyclassroom@state.gov and request to an excel document with the outlined security information. You must complete this document and send it back. This information is required by Department Security in order to admit visitors into the building. The required information is a first and last name, a date of birth, the school they are currently affiliated with, a student ID number, a driver’s license or passport number and the state or country of issuance. This information is due on Monday, October 1st by 12:00p.m.
