The College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES), Center for Sustainable Development + Resilience (CSDR), will host this season\u2019s last farmers market at East Capitol Urban Farm, on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The\u00a0harvestmarket will include buy one, get one free (BOGO) produce with seconds from recovered produce. It will also include fun activities for kids, including pumpkin decorating and community scarecrow making.<\/div>\n

We invite you to bring old clothes to help make & decorate the scarecrows. The remainder of the clothing will be donated to clothing recovery nonprofits.<\/p>\n

This event is free and open to the public. Free food samples will be available. Also, there will be hot food available for purchase.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Guests can guarantee their entry into PUB Dread and snag a pass for Halloween night.\u00a0 At $20 a ticket, 100% of ticket sales will be donated to\u00a0World Central Kitchen<\/a>, a chef-driven non-profit launched by Jose Andr\u00e9s in the wake of Haiti\u2019s Earthquakes in 2010. Andr\u00e9s and World Central Kitchen have fed over 130,000 people in Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria, and are\u00a0on track to be able to serve 100,000 people a day<\/a>\u00a0with enough support.
\nIn addition to PUB Dread\u2019s extensive horror-inspired cocktail list, Pi\u00f1a Coladas (the official cocktail of Puerto Rico) will be available during this Halloween event.<\/div>\n
