With Halloween approaching and clowns appearing out of nowhere, it\u2019s a scary time. But nothing is more frightening than some of the quotes and events\u00a0of this election year! These are just a few of the scariest election year moments (at least so far!) to get you in the mood for trick or treating.<\/p>\n
OK \u2013 this goes back to 1997, but after he made a remark in the current election that John McCain wasn\u2019t a war hero because he was captured, \u201cI don\u2019t like people who were captured,\u201d he said, we had to point out what he said on the Howard Stern show in \u201997. When discussing his dating life, Trump told Stern: \u201cIt\u2019s a dangerous world out there\u2014it\u2019s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam era. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a March rally, Trump\u2019s then campaign manager Corey Lewandowski reportedly grabbed reporter Michelle Fields\u2019 arm, leaving a bruise. But what\u2019s even scarier is both he and Trump denied it, calling Fields \u201cdelusional.\u201d After a release of the video that proved she was telling the truth, Lewandowski was charged with battery.<\/p>\n

#4 When Hillary got Pneumonia<\/h2>\n
When Hillary got diagnosed with pneumonia, she ignored her doctor\u2019s orders to rest and continued to campaign. At a 9\/11 Memorial ceremony, she left early and collapsed.<\/p>\n
\u201cLooking back I know I should have obeyed my doctor\u2019s orders to rest, but my instinct was to push through it,\u201d she said. \u201cThat is what women do every day.\u201d<\/p>\n
#5 When Bernie Sanders danced on Ellen<\/h2>\n
OK \u2013 it may be more endearing than scary, but it\u2019s definitely awkward. As he enters, Bernie is seen dancing into the main stage to (even scarier, to Disco Inferno!), his face growing a shade of tomato red. Snaps for the effort!
