Chances are you have a firm stance on who you\u2019re voting for. Voting aside, why don\u2019t we just take a step back and realize how amazing it is we have not one but <em>two<\/em> female candidates running for president?<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, or you\u2019re just feeling the BERN and have no interest in these ladies\u2019 politics, Hillary Clinton and Carly Fiorina have one thing in common: they\u2019re badass b******. If you follow the lives and careers of these two women, you\u2019ll come to realize that they\u2019re here to squash sexism and make a difference in this world. Politics aside, here\u2019s why you should have mad respect for Hillary and Carly.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Hillary<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4579 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Hillary-Clinton-in-college.jpg\" alt=\"Hillary-Clinton-in-college\" width=\"200\" height=\"249\" \/><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Won a Grammy in 1997 for Best Spoken Word album <em>It Takes a Village<\/em>, her 1996 book aimed to \u201cHelp make our society into the kind of village that enables children to become smart, able, resilient adults.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Before marrying Bill in 1975, she tried to join the Marines, probably to make a political statement. She was told she was too old, couldn\u2019t see well and she was a woman. \u201cI decided maybe I\u2019ll look for another way to serve my country,\u201d she said.<\/li>\n<li>When she was a little girl, Hillary wrote to NASA asking how to become an astronaut. NASA replied that girls couldn\u2019t be astronauts.<\/li>\n<li>Hillary volunteered as a babysitter for Mexican migrant workers in rural Illinois<\/li>\n<li>In 1988 and 1991, <em>The National Law Journal<\/em> named Hillary one of the 100 most powerful lawyers in America<\/li>\n<li>Upon being accepted to both Yale and Harvard law schools, a Harvard professor told her, \u201cWe don\u2019t need any more women.\u201d So she went to Yale.<\/li>\n<li>She\u2019s served as both First Lady and Secretary of State<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4580\" src=\"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Carly-Fiorina-after-cancer.jpg\" alt=\"Carly-Fiorina-after-cancer\" width=\"200\" height=\"246\" \/>Carly<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>She beat breast cancer in 2009, and underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy<\/li>\n<li>Her father was a cowboy \u2013 Carly\u2019s father served as a part-time cowboy in the summers of his youth, and then served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as Staff Sargent during WWII. He then served as Dean of the Duke University School of Law.<\/li>\n<li>She was the first woman to be a CEO of a Fortune 100 company \u2013 Carly became President and CEO of Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 1999. She was the first to be hired in this position outside of family lines. (She\u00a0worked her way up from being a\u00a0secretary).<\/li>\n<li><em>Fortune<\/em>\u00a0named her the \u201cMost Powerful Woman in Business\u201d in 1998.<\/li>\n<li>She attended 5 different high schools, including one in Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>She joined the male-dominated Network Systems division, and by age 35, became the division\u2019s first female officer.
