Over the next few weeks, as we run up to the creepiest day of the year, there\u2019s lots of events that will help get you in the Halloween\u00a0spirit.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>1. Fright Fest at Six Flags<\/h3>\nOne of the biggest halloween celebrations in the DC area takes place around the spooky attractions and shows at Six Flags. You can catch this event every Saturday and Sunday until November 1st<\/sup> between 12-6pm.<\/p>\n Plan your trip here<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Friday\u00a0October 30th, between 6:30-10p.m the National Zoo will be putting on a hair-raising show featuring performances that include palm readers, fire eaters, talking bats, and illusionists.<\/p>\n Get more info here<\/a><\/p>\n If you\u2019re looking for a Halloween bar crawl, this is the event for you. On Halloween (Saturday October 31st) between 5 p.m. to 1 a.m you can dress up and take off on a bar crawl of 30 of Washington\u2019s hottest bars. This is a ticketed event and tickets are sold in advance, so make sure you get yours on time. You\u2019ll also need your I.D. for this one!<\/p>\n Get more info here<\/a><\/p>\n If you\u2019re over 21, why not try something a little different this October 31st\u00a0and take your costume on a Halloween cruise on the Spirit of Washington<\/a>. The prize for the best costume is 4 free tickets on the Spirit of Washington.<\/p>\n You can start boarding at 9:00p.m. from Gangplank Marina, Washington DC.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Not up for a cruise? How about a Halloween Graveyard Jam at the Hard Rock Caf\u00e9<\/a>? Kicking off at 9pm and running through to 2am, there\u2019s a costume contest (well it is Halloween after all) where the first prize is a trip to the Caribbean!!!<\/p>\n You\u2019ll find the Hard Rock Caf\u00e9 at 999 E St., NW, Washington, DC.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There\u2019s no shortage of Halloween parades in the Washington DC area. DC has no shortage of Ghost Tours. One of the main tours is the Tour of Lafayette Square<\/a> where you’ll see the sites of the hauntings of the poltergeist of the Hay-Adams Hotel and Lincoln’s ghost in the White House. You can also take the Capitol Hill Ghost tour<\/a> to mingle with the spirits of past lawmakers, Lincoln conspiracy\u00a0trials and the disturbances at the Folger Library. You might see the famed ghost of Dolley Madison!<\/p>\n
