Well, every month represents a\u00a0number of unique and often bizarre holidays. This series aims to keep you up to date on what every month represents.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3389 \" src=\"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/shutterstock_188153354.jpg\" alt=\"may calendar: days in may\" width=\"577\" height=\"387\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here at the WISHington Post my goal is to bring\u00a0you, my esteemed readership, the latest and greatest intern news. But we also want to have fun and this post will do all of this. You might even find the perfect excuse to indulge in your favorite treats, have a drink with friends or post a throwback snap on your Instagram of\u00a0your siblings.<\/p>\n<p>To kickstart this series, this article will round\u00a0up what the month of May 2015 represents, but we&#8217;re not going to stop there. Every week and day marks a special (or funny)\u00a0event too. We&#8217;re going to\u00a0highlight the whole of the month of May. So without further ado, here I present May 2015: The Month Of&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3388\" src=\"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/shutterstock_188153354.jpg\" alt=\"happy may day\" width=\"300\" height=\"191\" \/>May 2015 is the month of:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Date Your Mate Month &#8211; Your bestie could be your soulmate all along.<\/li>\n<li>National Barbecue Month &#8211; Do we really need an excuse for a barbeque?<\/li>\n<li>National Bike Month &#8211;\u00a0Time to get healthy people. Check out the\u00a0bike map of DC on <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecongressional.com\/about-the-residences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this page<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>National Hamburger Month &#8211; No need to tell us twice! Hamburgers and barbecues&#8230; yum!<\/li>\n<li>National Photograph Month &#8211; Take a picture of that barbecue.<\/li>\n<li>National Salad Month &#8211; I&#8217;ll\u00a0have this in my hamburger!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Weekly Celebrations:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Week 3: National Bike Week &#8211; Ok so it&#8217;s also National Bike Month. This means you have to up the ante in week 3!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Daily Holidays and Crazy\/Fun Days:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3387\" src=\"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/shutterstock_269164121-196x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"may: the month of\" width=\"196\" height=\"300\" \/>May 1st:\u00a0May Day\u00a0&#8211; Summer is on the way!<\/li>\n<li>May 2nd:\u00a0Brothers and Sisters Day\u00a0&#8211; \u00a0There are days\u00a0we love our siblings and days we want to kill them, but siblings are the first friends you ever had. If you&#8217;re lucky enough to have siblings, take this day to cherish your brother(s) and\/or sister(s).<\/li>\n<li>May 4th:\u00a0Star Wars Day\u00a0&#8211; &#8220;May the force be with you&#8221; &#8211; Get it? This is why May 4th is Star Wars Day.<\/li>\n<li>May 5th: Cinco de Mayo &#8211; A day\u00a0of song, dance, partying, and time to be proud of your\u00a0Hispanic descent.<\/li>\n<li>May 6th: Beverage Day &#8211; If you say so!<\/li>\n<li>May 6th: No Diet Day\u00a0&#8211; Seeing as it&#8217;s also beverage day, you may as well go all out.<\/li>\n<li>May 10th: Mother&#8217;s Day\u00a0&#8211; Show some love for all of the lovely mothers out there.<\/li>\n<li>May 11th: Eat What You Want Day\u00a0&#8211; Yes please!<\/li>\n<li>May 15th: National Chocolate Chip Day\u00a0&#8211; Cookies anyone?<\/li>\n<li>May 20th:\u00a0Be a Millionaire Day &#8211; Who wouldn&#8217;t want this?<\/li>\n<li>May 21st:\u00a0National Waiters and Waitresses Day\u00a0&#8211; Be nice to your servers!<\/li>\n<li>May 23rd:\u00a0International Jazz Day &#8211;\u00a0Why not check out a local Jazz Bar?<\/li>\n<li>May 25th:\u00a0Memorial Day\u00a0&#8211; National Holiday! Find a Veteran and do something nice for them.<\/li>\n<li>May 27th:\u00a0Sun Screen Day\u00a0&#8211; Protect your skin.<\/li>\n<li>May 28th:\u00a0Amnesty International Day\u00a0&#8211; An important one, recognizing the need to protect human rights worldwide.<\/li>\n<li>May 31st:\u00a0National Macaroon Day\u00a0&#8211; Like we need an excuse!<\/li>\n<li>May 31st:\u00a0World No Tobacco Day\u00a0 &#8211; This should be all day everyday!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>If you manage to celebrate all of these days, it looks like May\u00a0will be shaping up to be a busy month.
