While I could spend my time here in DC fetching coffee and waiting for \u201cthe system\u201d to notice me, instead, I, Martha Warrington, choose to embrace a piece of advice my personal hero bestowed upon me.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. John Paul Wonder is a genius journalist, and the shining star at The Marmakaukis Statesman in Marmakaukis, Ohio, my hometown of mostly corn farmers. I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve at least heard of his work \u2013 his story about the seventeen-year-old <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-2213\" src=\"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/The-Editor-in-Chief-300PX-150x150-1.jpg\" alt=\"The-Editor-in-Chief\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Basset Hound that died falling into an empty pool received significant national attention!<\/p>\n<p>My obsession with the news began there, when Mr. Wonder took me under his wing. I must have slipped him a dozen of my articles, and he must have read at least 1 of them. After I snuck him yet another of my op-ed pieces disguised as a coaster, Mr. Wonder put his coffee on it and graced me with this guidance: \u201cY\u2019know, you should start a blog.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Right?!<\/p>\n<h3>Welcome to The WISHington Post!<\/h3>\n<p>I\u2019ve gathered 11 of the sharpest DC interns to bring you the freshest news from Washington \u2013 by interns for interns.<\/p>\n<p>Our columnists are obsessed with sharing their stories on:<br \/>\n1.
