Each year a parade is held in Chinatown in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The event features traditional Chinese Dragon Dance, Kung Fu demonstrations, and live musical entertainment.

\nThe Trials of Muhammad Ali<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0(February 5th<\/sup>\u00a0at 7:00pm)<\/strong>
\nThis unconventional sports documentary investigates the extraordinary and complex life of Muhammad Ali outside the boxing ring. From joining the controversial Nation of Islam and changing his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali to refusing to serve in the Vietnam War in the name of protesting racial inequality to continuing his global humanitarian work. The film\u2019s Director, Bill Siegel, will introduce the film and answer audience questions.<\/div>\n

\nOsgood Center for International Studies: Model Security Council<\/a>\u00a0(March 14th and 15th)<\/strong><\/div>\n
This March, the Osgood Center offers a program that focuses on the only United Nations body capable of creating binding legislation \u2013 the Security Council. On March 14-15, participants will engage as representatives of the 15 Security Council Member States in discussion of issues such as: The Situation in Syria; Addressing Drone Strikes in Sovereign States; Securing Aid in the Central African Republic. Model United Nations is an exciting way for students to learn about the cutting edge issues in international affairs and increase their awareness of different systems of government, international law, and international organizations, while gaining valuable researching, public speaking, and decision-making skills.<\/div>\n
