Internships are available for every academic term, including summers. For interested students, Justice at Stake can work with schools to arrange academic credit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Interns Will:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research, draft, and revise JAS work product;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with outreach to partners, allies, and media contacts;<\/li>\n<li>Help plan and organize events promoting JAS initiatives;<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for the organization\u2019s online presence and contribute to JAS\u2019s blog,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gavelgrab.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.gavelgrab.org<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>Attend and report on events of interest, including on Capitol Hill; and<\/li>\n<li>Help with occasional administrative tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Traits Sought in Ideal Candidates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reliable, strong self-starter and creative, independent worker and thinker;<\/li>\n<li>Academic and\/or work background in and knowledge of state and federal judiciary, constitutional issues, politics, and the interplay between branches of government;<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on public advocacy or political campaigns;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communications skills;<\/li>\n<li>Campus or other press experience;<\/li>\n<li>Strong commitment to JAS\u2019s principles; and<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to take on a variety of tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates should examine the JAS website and send a statement of interest and resume to <a href=\"mailto:interns@justiceatstake.org\">interns@justiceatstake.org<\/a>.
