{"id":13318,"date":"2019-12-26T06:32:11","date_gmt":"2019-12-26T11:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/internsdc.com\/?p=13318"},"modified":"2019-12-26T06:32:11","modified_gmt":"2019-12-26T11:32:11","slug":"internships-with-the-u-s-department-of-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atdevserver.com\/Internsdc\/internships-with-the-u-s-department-of-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Internships with the U.S. Department of State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Department of State\u2019s <strong>Pathways Internship Program<\/strong> has two internship opportunities open for U.S. Citizens, enrolled in high school, college, graduate school, and approved certificate programs, who want an opportunity to experience Civil Service work firsthand.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Applications are being accepted through December 20, 2012 or until the first 250 applications have been received.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Internship Experience Program (IEP)<\/strong> is a non-temporary internship designed to allow \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 students to work for the length of the academic program in which they are \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 enrolled. At the successful conclusion of the program, interns may be \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 eligible for non-competitive conversion to a Federal career or \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 career-conditional position in the competitive service. Interns may work \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 full-time or part-time schedules.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Internship Temporary Experience Program (ITEP)<\/strong> offers interns temporary appointments that allow for \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 seasonal employment (during summers and holiday breaks from academic \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 program) as well as year-round employment should their academic programs \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 allow. These appointments are limited to a year or less with possibility \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 for extensions in one-year increments.
