Bryce Harlow Advocacy Forum \u00a0Scott Salmon is General Manager of Government Affairs in Washington, D.C., for United States Steel Corporation.\u00a0 He manages a strategic portfolio of public policy issues that encompasses energy, environment, tax, and international matters.\u00a0 Prior to assuming his current duties, Mr. Salmon provided public affairs support to the company\u2019s acquisition and expansion efforts, including designing and helping to staff the company\u2019s European governmental affairs organization.\u00a0 He first joined the corporation in 1993, when it was known as USX Corporation and still included its Marathon Oil subsidiary.<\/p>\n Prior to joining U.S. Steel, Mr. Salmon served as Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs at the Office of Management and Budget in the George H.W.
