(And if they ask, I see no reason not to inflate the price tag slightly.\u00a0 Lying is rude, but asking how much something costs is ruder.)<\/p>\n<h2>How to Fake Expensive Taste on an Intern Budget:<\/h2>\n<h3>1.) \u00a0 \u00a0Sparking Wine, Either From the Bottle or DIY<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/atdevserver.com\/Projects\/Internsdc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/shutterstock_162423065.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3013\" src=\"http:\/\/atdevserver.com\/Projects\/Internsdc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/shutterstock_162423065.jpg\" alt=\"champagne-party\" width=\"320\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a>Yellowtail Sparkling White Wine and Barefoot Bubbly are two inexpensive brands that have been highly rated by various wine and spirits publications.\u00a0 Serve in crystal champagne flutes you find at thrift stores.\u00a0 You\u2019d be amazed by how much perfectly good dishware people donate thanks to moving\/unwanted Christmas presents.<\/p>\n<p>If even the cheapest brands of Prosecco make your wallet&#8217;s leather get goosebumps, consider this. \u00a0A SodaStream machine can turn ANY cheap brand of white wine into sparkling white wine. \u00a0That&#8217;s right! \u00a0A DIY solution if you want your $3 Trader Joe&#8217;s wine to taste a little fancier.<\/p>\n<h3>2.)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cheese and Bread That Won\u2019t Break the Bank<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3014\" src=\"http:\/\/atdevserver.com\/Projects\/Internsdc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/bread-and-cheese.jpg\" alt=\"bread-and-cheese\" width=\"334\" height=\"223\" \/><\/h3>\n<p>A thin baguette won\u2019t run you more than a couple of dollars.\u00a0 Pair it with three kinds of cheese (not more than an ounce or two per person at your party) and thin apple slices (the sweet and savory will make for great flavor). Don\u2019t be shy to talk to your local cheesemonger (if you buy your cheese from a dedicated storefront) about good budget options. There are other stores that sell more\u2026ahem\u2026\u201dtrendy\u201d items (Hilary often visits Buffalo Exchange and Junction for her strange and unflattering garments from the 80s), but classic items from brands such as Banana Republic, J Crew, and more can be found at any of these stores for a fraction of the cost.\u00a0 I\u2019m not embarrassed to brag that my best Diane Von Furstenberg is a Frugalista find, and yes, I do receive many compliments whenever I go out in it.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/atdevserver.com\/Projects\/Internsdc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/frank-sinatra.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3016\" src=\"http:\/\/atdevserver.com\/Projects\/Internsdc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/frank-sinatra.jpg\" alt=\"frank-sinatra\" width=\"306\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a>4.)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All the Sinatra a Girl Could Want<\/h3>\n<p>While I love the warm, vintage sound of a record player, and I would never identify as one those \u201ccomputer\u201d people, \u00a0I will say that subscription based music services such as Spotify and Pandora have saved me such a headache when it comes to music for parties.\u00a0 $15 a month earns you unlimited music without commercial interruption.\u00a0 Far more affordable than a collection of CDs, and the variety is endless.
