Whether you\u2019re a local of the district or a visitor for the summer, there is no better place to celebrate Independence Day than in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t just take our word for it; take a glimpse at all the festivities happening throughout the city on July 4th. Everything from baseball games to the fireworks on the mall, it\u2019s all covered here.<\/p>\n

After cooling off with a sundae take a short stroll over to the National Mall where there is a free concert happening. This year, after popular demand, John Stamos will be returning to host the show from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. This independence day performers include the Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, The Temptations, and the National Symphony Orchestra!<\/p>\n

After the concert prepare yourself for a 20-minute long firework extravaganza! While the convenience of the National Mall is always one of the best spots for viewing the fireworks display, D.C.offers several other interesting places to see the fireworks from. If you are one for adventure, be sure to check out the show from the Patomic River Boat Cruise<\/a> or enjoy the fireworks over cupcakes by the waterfront in Georgetown!<\/p>\n
